The Programme

Programme Overview

The 5th International Conference on Thermoplastic Composites covers the latest developments in high performance thermoplastic composite applications in aerospace, automotive and energy applications, as well as transport & engineering. ITHEC conference focuses on new results on
• Thermoplastic Composites Lightweight Structures
• Manufacturing & Process Technologies
• Simulation & Modelling
• Raw Materials & Standardisation
• Process Automation & Production Machinery
• Process Monitoring / Material Quality & Testing
• Eco Balance & Recycling

The official conference language is English; there will be no simultaneous translation.
Conference Session 1 for Asia & Europe (9am - 1pm German time: CEST / GMT+2)
In-between interactive Networking Session and Virtual Round Tables
Conference Session 2 for the Americas & Europe (3pm – 7pm German time: CEST / GMT+2)

In Session 2, the content of Session 1 will be repeated; the lectures will be available in both sessions! This will assure that there will be numerous interaction opportunities in each time zone and even between the Conference Sessions. Be active in your time zone, connect to your continental community and be even able to meet the the time-fitting other continents!

This will assure, that there will be numerous interaction opportunities in each time zone and even between the time zones.
Due to the very high response and quality of the papers there will be three parallel conference tracks:

"Aerospace", "Automotive" and “Emerging Technologies”, including a special session on “3D Printing technologies”. The 25 minutes technical conference lectures and the keynotes will have the presentation part and then an interactive Q&A session at the end, where our speakers will be available live fto answer the questions you have been asking in our online tool.
In addition to the technical conference lectures, we have this year the opportunity to include virtual round tables, interactive presentations and thematical break-outs together with our partners, sponsors and exhibitors. These session are going to be published step by step in our conference programme.
The poster presentations will be also available, this will be done through poster pages with the poster as PDF and a short pitch video, and at the second day, we will have special interactive live sessions with the presenters. Here, you will be able to enter the video sessions with all others together, ass it would be in a on-site format. Here, you really can go into deep and ask all the questions you are interested in.
Our first award is as in the last editions the JEC Best Paper Award, presented by the ITHEC Programme Committee and JEC together at the first day.

The second award is new and will be based on the participant's vote: the ITHEC Poster Award is going to be rewarded to the best presentation and project, based on the poster and the answers you received in the live session.
"Advanced Thermoplastic Composite 3D Printing Forum"
New this year within the ITHEC 2020 is the Advanced Thermoplastic Composite 3D Printing Forum, powered by CompositesWorld, where companies will showcase their latest developments in continuous fiber and industrial processes.
At the third day of the conference, there will be five technical conference lectures. Up to 10 exhibitors with 3D Printing solutions will be available at the platform, and will also showing interactive presentations about products and technologies.
An accompanying 60-minute panel discussion on Oct. 15 at 12:15 pm and 6:15 pm Central European Time will include leading 3D printing companies from the U.S. and Europe.
